Honeywell approves AeroTek for Dry Film Lubricant (DFL), Metallic/ Ceramic Coatings, for Compressor Components (Alseal/SermeTel) and Paint processes

Honeywell has approved additional coatings processes at AeroTek including Dry Film Lubricant (DFL), Ceramic Coatings and Paint

Newly approved specifications include:

DFL: EMS52402 & MIL-PRF-46010

Ceramic Coatings (Alseal/SermeTel): EMS52531

Paint: MIL-PRF-23377, MIL-PRF-22750, MIL-PRF-85285, MIL-PRF-85582

These new services are immediately now available and provided by AeroTek Mfg to sub-tiers machine shops in the Honeywell supply chain.

AeroTek’s facility can apply DFL & Paint processes for parts up to 20 ft. long and apply Ceramic Coatings to aircraft parts up to 6.5 ft. long. AeroTek is in discussions to implement a larger high temperature oven to accommodate aerospace parts up to 14 ft. long.

AeroTek has been providing aerospace coatings to Honeywell for close to 70 years.

Ceramic coatings are specifically designed to protect aerospace engine components, providing corrosion-resistant coatings that can withstand up to 1500/1600C allowing aircraft engines to run longer and at higher temperatures. This helps increase energy efficiency in these engines resulting in reduced fuel consumption and pollutant emissions.

In keeping with its policy of continuous improvement, AeroTek continues to streamline its performance through lean manufacturing practices and to increase its services to provide the most comprehensive one-stop shop for metal processing and finishing, meeting the continually changing and dynamic needs of its customers.

AeroTek also provides the fastest lead times in the aerospace industry: “TOP QUALITY at a REASONABLE PRICE and ON-TIME.”
