AeroTek Manufacturing Ltd is now looking at incorporating inkjet printing technology for aerospace component marking as a part of its commitment to innovation, quality, and addressing changing industry needs.
Inkjet printing offers a non-contact, highly flexible solution capable of marking a variety of parts — from significant structural components to the smallest fasteners — with precise, permanent codes such as serial numbers, DataMatrix codes, and barcodes. The aerospace sector necessitates stringent traceability, and regulators demand high-contrast, durable markings on a variety of materials, such as metals, composites, and plastics.
Continuous Inkjet (CIJ) printers operate consistently in challenging production environments, providing quick, readable codes even on uneven or difficult-to-reach surfaces without interrupting the production process. Quick code changes and line setup storage reduce downtime and optimize efficiency. In addition, the application of specialty inks withstands aggressive aerospace environments such as exposure to oils, grease, and heat, retaining traceability throughout the life of the part.
Through our investigation of inkjet for part marking, AeroTek strives to improve its comprehensive metal finishing and coating capabilities with a cutting-edge technology that complements existing aerospace quality standards. This effort aligns with our ongoing pursuit of advanced, environmentally conscious manufacturing solutions that offer superior quality, reliable traceability, and cost-effective production.
As always, AeroTek remains dedicated to providing “TOP QUALITY at a REASONABLE PRICE and ON-TIME” and will keep clients informed on our progress as we incorporate inkjet printing to strengthen our position as a leader in aerospace manufacturing and finishing.
