Continuing its commitment to continuous innovation, AeroTek is proud to announce a significant investment in its Ion Vapour Deposition (IVD) capacity. AeroTek firmly believes that IVD, as a completely environmentally friendly coating, will be in high demand in the future. As one of the global leaders in IVD, AeroTek has heavily invested in adding capacity, updating technology, conducting R&D and upgrading the technician team’s knowledge. AeroTek continues to exceed its customers’ expectations with quick turn arounds on high quality IVD coated components. Expected completion date: June 2022.
In 2021, AeroTek has invested in the following upgrades to our machines:
Mechanical, Hydraulic and Diffusion pumps for DPC#1 through DPC#3 replaced.
New Polycold machine for DPC#1 and DPC#2 installed.
New controllers for DPC#2 and DPC#3 purchased, awaiting installation.
Upgraded controller for DPC#1 installed.
Existing pneumatic valves and fittings have been updated to use modern electro-hydraulic components.
All 3 large IVD machines will be upgraded to use higher efficiency wire feeds and ceramic evaporation “boats” to improve the consistency of the coating process.
The 2 large barrel coaters have been rebuilt and are ready for use.

AeroTek has acquired more than 400 aerospace OEM process approvals including Boeing, Goodrich, SAFRAN, Bombardier, Airbus, Sikorsky, Bell Helicopter, Honeywell, GE, Pratt and Whitney and many more. The Company has also recently been approved by SAFRAN to perform landing gear maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) services.
