AeroTek has begun the implementation of new NDT lines to improve its one-stop shop capabilities in chemical processing and metal finishing. The new NDT processes include:
FPI/LPI Line:
Designed and built by QNDE, the new line will handle parts 5 feet long, however, longer can be accommodated.
MPI Line:
Purchased from Kodiak, the MPI bench can handle parts up to 11 feet long and is located beside the FPI area under a new mezzanine designed to maximize utilization of the area where it is being installed.
Final approval has been delayed due to multiple COVID-19-related cancellations of the NADCAP audit. AeroTek anticipates that these last steps will be quickly completed once the lockdown is lifted in the first quarter 2022.
